ABOUT SPORT SAFETY INTERNATIONAL

SSI’s mission is to reduce sport injury and promote safe participation in sport and physical activity worldwide through accessible education. The team practices what they preach and are certified athletic trainers and sports medicine physicians serving youth, amateur, collegiate and professional sport organizations. SSI also actively supports research through its generous donations to the NATA Research and Education Foundation.

WHY SPORT SAFETY EDUCATION

1.24 Million

Kids are seen annually in emergency departments for sport injuries.

1 in 4

Athletes, parents and coaches say they don’t do anything to prevent sports injuries.

90%

The population of athletes that have been injured while playing a sport.

50 States

Require sport safety education for coaches by law.

OUR GOAL IS TO EDUCATE

5 Million

Healthcare Providers
The professionals that treat our athletes and help educate them on how to play safely. Some injuries can not be prevented and it is crucial that athletic trainers clear athletes’ return to play.

3.5 Million

Coaches
The mentors that influence and motivate athletes. For every team coach that is educated it has a minimal impact on more than 100 athletes.

60 Million

Parents & Athletes
Many times mom and dad are the best first line of defense and can implement preventative practices. It is important we teach are athletes why sports safety is important.

WHO WE ARE

Meet Our Team

We are a group of dedicated individuals with over 100 years of combined experience in sports injury care and prevention.  Our leadership takes pride in our commitment to educating the world on sports safety, saving lives along the way.
